Stewie’s friend, Tanya, took me on an adventure to see if we could discover where he was hanging out for the day.
The researchers in the park put out special Cover Boards. Skinks and other creatures love to hang out underneath them.
Tanya and I left no stone, nor rock, nor Cover Board unturned. We searched all afternoon but could not find Stewie.
Returning to the office for coffee, we discovered… Stewie had been waiting there for me all along!
Stewie had many amazing stories and fabulous songs to share with me.
It was exciting to finally get an up close and personal visit with him. (Stewie thought it was pretty exciting too.)
An office is no place for a Five-Lined Skink. I was lucky I was allowed to help release him back into the wild.
